We have CD's for sale, and most of the promo we had over by the light & sound tables. Like the belts Sid & JR are wearing and the bandanas they have on with choncos and beads. Hang With Us Fan's ! ( Im peddlin-as-fast-as-I-can ) All-Girl-Band ???, Oh,,,,,,I had more girls than guys on that show. I had said if JR & Sid were girls, it would be a all girl band that night. Sooooooooooooo, what did they do, but go out to the bus on break and put  on Ann & Fays stage set they just took off. It was time to go back up,,,,,,,,,,,,and in the back door they snuck, and on stage. When the whole-house started laughing, I turned around and they said,,,,,,,You-Wanted-AN-All-Girl- Band , Okkkkkkkkkkkk !  What them boy's didn't come up with, and they were only 17-18 yrs. at the time.   ( Carefull what ya pray for  ! )

     HEY,Look What I Found ! And I Believed in this stuff too. I Read it Aloud Every Morning. "But First a Story. Ya's see,EVERY-TIME people would tell me to "Get Real & Get a Real-Job Dar !,,,,,,,,,Well that just told Dar to Work a Little Harder, to  "Prove-Ya's-WRONG ! Ya see, Dreams are good. Those who have No Dreams, can't see the Big Picture. Those select Few, that get to their dreams, are nothing more that losers, that Just Would Not Give Up ! And the more people that told Dar he's nuts thinking that I could be a Famous Country Singer Guy, with a Bus & Crew,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Well that just made me " MAD " and Bound and Determend to find that Dam-Success-Lader, with 100 steps and start climbing it.  

      Ya see if yr going to be sucessfull at anything, you first have to FIND-the-Ladder,,,,,,,,,,,,This is a hard one NEXT !,,,,,,Get On the Frickin-Thing & Never Look Back. (Keep-Climbing) AND, Smile, Shake Their Hand,""""& Kiss Their Ass-Kinda-Of, all the way to the Top ! In other words, be as nice as you can to EVERY-BODY, going up. Cuz, you will come back down those 99 steps again someday. And Every-One will treat you as you treated them going up. Instead of trying to make any money, I tryed to get bigger, like the big guys are. You see,the 100th step don't care how you got there. It dosn't matter wheither you tryed to keep all the money you made, or give it to everybody trying to help you get to the 100th step. All the 100th step cares about is that you made it to Your Dreams ! What ever yr dream is, it's all the same.The first step will get you to the 2nd-3rd-4th. And you can not skip any of them. Me, I wanted to make music, & make people laugh and have a good time at my show's, and buy my Record's.

      Back stage, sitting on Mr. Earnst Tubb's Eagle Bus, I told him what I'm telling you now. He put that Big Texas Trubadours hand on my shoulder and said !  "Son" if you beleive in yr self ", don't let anybody ever talk you out of your Dreams. And if you happen to die along the way and go to the Big-House (Grand Ole Opry in the Sky) "You've Done All Yr Life What You Wanted to Do,Ya Just Didn't Get to that 100th Step " Thank You Sir ! Now I will reach the 100th step on that ladder. After all, Who better that the # 1 Trubadour himself, told me that I could make it in the music bus. But like Earnst Tubb told me,,,,,,You Got to Beleive in yr self,,,,or you will be just a loser fallen off the ladder of sucess. " And Now Ya got some Es-planing to do,,,,,Cuz ya know they will all show up for the,," BIG-DREAMER-FAILURE-PARTY ", with lot's of Cake & Ice Cream, and Horns Blowing in yr Told-Ya-So-Face !

So, Dar started trying to Emulate what the people did that was where I want to be when I get on that 100th step. Have a show, NOT-A-Bar Band. Need Promo & Lots of it. Need follow spot lights,,,,,,,and on and on and on I went, till Ann and I would get the bus back in the yard and have NOTHING-LEFT, of what we made this weekend. ( Oh yea,ya gotta have a day-job too ! ) And don't Quit-It, till yr rolling-in-dough.I never knew it, but I was doing it right all a long, but when the movie came out I now had a name for it. "Pay It Foward" One of the band members was riding Shot-Gun with me as I drove the bus across the state for tomorrows show. He said, I'm just not getting any good luck in life, and never seem to get a break in LIFE ! ( OK, What Are You Giving Life ? To Think You Have Good Luck Coming ? ) I-DONT-KNOW, Shoud I Be ? Well treat people like their yr best friend. Help that Little Old Lady get across the street, hold the door for the person behing you, even if it's some guy yr age, pick up the trash that some sob threw on the ground, If the kids are selling lemonaid, and ya don't even like lemonaid, buy it any ways and tell em to have one on you. ( In Other Words, Don't Look for Any-More In Life, Than What You Give To Life! ) If Ya Stop and help someone change a tire, and they INSIST-ON-PAYING-YOU,,,,,Tell em to put it in the basket next Sunday for you, and don't look everyday for Yr Good Fortune, Just Keep Paying it FOWARD ! And ya better learn how to PRAY, cuz yr gona need it a lot. I knew I was doing the right thing when I learned that Charlie Daniels Band ,and his crew at the farm in Tn. said prayers before each meal. He ran his music business from his ranch. And when it was meal time, the lady's made grub, and called the guys, and they Prayed, and ATE !

      In the PCB Bus, when I hit the kill switch on the Detorit, I told the band & crew,,,,,,,,,,,,Now-Were-On. We're off when we sound check ,and that's about 3hrs & 7-8 People working at it.. and then out to the bus and it's Goof-a-Round time till supper.T hen it's stage clothes & make-up and we Back-On,,,,,,,,,"It's Show Time",,,,,, Now Magin This,,,,,,,,,,Every-one's looking to see who Dar's gona look at this time to say the Prayers this time???????? They all knew that Dar would look at someone, and they knew what to do NEXT ! Robby Surney,always hated it when it was him. And he learned that Prayer REAL-GOOD too! Cuz he knew that if he didn't, he AINT GOnNA GET the First Pancakes outa the Pan in the morning. And Ann makes "THE BEST " Pancakes in the world. Robby's mom told us so ! And you don't pray for what you want, Ya pray for what he's let you have so far. People get it all WRONG, What you want !, you need to go get it, and it's a lot of Hard-Work. What you GOT, He helped you get it, and that's worth Thanking-Him for the HELP ! " Oh Yea " The saying's that I lived by.,,,,,,OK,,,,,,,,#1.
